In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, our projects were on hold while our city dealt with the aftermath of the devastating storm. After helping in recovery efforts however we could, we found ourselves back and in the shop contemplating how we could use our collective skills and resources to improve emergency preparedness, leading to the development of the EXEO: an everyday carry escape tool that can cut a seat belt, smash a glass window, hold keys, and open a beer.
The EXEO was designed and produced in-house using our CNC mill in collaboration with DTL Tactical. The final product is assembled and finished by hand. We produce the CNC-routed wood box for the EXEO and collaborated with post-studio projects on the laser-engraved glass front.
The EXEO is made of solid 360 brass with a corrosion-resistant, stay-sharp stainless steel cutting blade, a super hard tungsten carbide tip for window breaking and glass etching as well as a convenient bottle opener and keychain loop.
